What we'll do with donations to Wattle's Restoration Fund
We'll put Wattle on the slipway, scrub it clean and repaint it. International Paint has confirmed sponsorship and the Port of Melbourne has waived slipping fees. We'll also get 55 new life jackets to AMSA standards, lifebuoys and pyrotechnic devices.
We'll complete the galley with purpose-designed cupboards, refrigerator, microwave, food warmer and urn — all the mod cons necessary for happy passengers. We'll install audio-visual equipment and complete other fitouts.
We'll train staff and pay insurances, licence fees for food and liquor services, and AMSA fees. We'll complete survey requirements including an Inclining Experiment, Light Ship Assessment, and Stability Book.
We'll complete all administrative tasks to make Wattle a viable, vibrant highlight of Melbourne's waterfront scene. Your donation will allow you to come aboard for sailing excursions!
